Dancing in the Streets Arizona presents The Nutcracker ballet, with live music by the Civic Orchestra of Tucson.

Let your imagination transport you to a land of magical dancing and childhood dreams on the weekend of Dec. 28-29 at the Leo Rich Theater.

This full-length traditional production is choreographed and directed by Founders and Artistic Directors Joseph Rodgers and Soleste Lupu. Dancing toys, mischievous mice, waltzing flowers, and sparkling snowflakes dance to Tchaikovsky’s sumptuous score performed by The Civic Orchestra of Tucson.

The Nutcracker ballet is based on the classic E.T.A. Hoffmann tale, featuring the magical toymaker Herr Drosselmeyer, Claire, her beloved Nutcracker Prince, twirling Snowflakes, and battling mice. Whether you’re seeing it again, or for the first time, The Nutcracker ballet will capture your imagination and transport you to a magical world of brave toy soldiers and waltzing flowers.
